In Santa Ana, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach ECU Guys at (310) 910-5366; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is ecuguys.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 99 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto electrical shop in Santa Ana and suggests consistent service.

I was referred by a friend to this business as I live in Las Vegas. I had an issue with my wife's BMW ECU. Sina was able to help me by answering all my questions and getting the ECU back to me in a quick and timely fashion. My wife loves her car and I'm glad the whole process went smoothly. Would highly recommend even if you don't live in California.

After spending $320 on a diagnostic service at the dealership, I was told I needed to replace the Cabin Junction Box. The dealer quoted me an astronomical $1,099 for the part and $1,280 for labor. After doing some research, I sourced the part on eBay and brought my automobile to ECU Guys. Sina handled the cloning, programming, and installation perfectly. He took the time to explain the entire process in detail and was incredibly friendly, which gave me complete confidence in leaving my vehicle with him. I had called numerous shops beforehand, but none could match Sina’s quick turnaround or detailed expertise. Thanks to ECU Guys, all four windows, the doors, and the trunk are working flawlessly again and I saved over $2,000. Thank you so much, Sina!

I spent the summer rebuilding and engine with my son for a 2001 mustang to gift to him on his 18th bday just to find out once we finished the car it ran rough and couldn't figure out the problem. Apparently the pcm was bad. Called 3 ecu repair shops and all told me they couldn't do it, they didn't work on "those" or the car was too old. ECU GUYS were the only ones that took the time to help me. It was a 1 hour drive from where I live but very well worth it. They were able to replace and reprogram my pcm. Once we picked up the car it Drove smooth as it should the whole way home. My son is as happy as can be!!!. Thank you ECU GUYS!! Great service and very knowledgeable. Will recommend anyone and everyone in need for these kind of repairs to the ECU GUYS.

This is a review on for a ECU replacement & programming for a Ford Mustang 2006. Owner operator shop (owner is an expert in his field with a supply chain that can find hard to source replacement parts). My ECU was replaced and reprogrammed based on my specific VIN (i.e., no need to replace my CHIPPED KEYS). Affordable - I was quoted twice or three times local shop. Conversations were straightforward and professionals. Please note: The shop is strictly focused on computers. Your car may have issues that are mechanical in nature and not within your scope. Please also note - the root cause of WHY you computer failed will not be repaired replacing a computer.
